Al Hauser Collection

Al Hauser, 87, has resided in Buffalo his entire life. He retired from the Buffalo Police Department in 1985 as chief photographer after 43 years of service. His photography career started in the U.S. Army during World War II with special training at the U.S. Signal Corps. Photo Center in New York City. After the War ended, he returned from Okinawa to the Buffalo Police Department. With camera always ready, he had the privilege of working as photographer for a variety of organizations and functions throughout Western New York.
